The design is based on Vanille's and Fang's designs from FFXIII, with some African and Indian influence. Oerba was a very impressive part of Final Fantasy XIII. I remember I particularly liked the lighting and the sky in that town. The view from the bridge at the end of the road is quite something. Oh, and I can't forget the music. Dust to Dust is one of my favorite tracks.

The symbols say "Oerba Lightning" in the Gran Pulse alphabet.
In truth, I just wanted to draw hair flips, but Lightning didn't have enough hair to flip. So I went for clothing flips after flipping Lightning's hair as best I could. What better clothes to flip than robes and long furry accessories? =w=
I'm not very satisfied with some areas and I wish I could work on this for longer, but it's time to move on. It was a great learning experience though!
