We call it that because I was trying to draw a super fabulous moe picture with non-painty CG. xD It's a very unusual style from me, but I am happy you like it! I am considering keeping the coloring style because it prints well.
I think both your non-painty CG style and your painty CG style are wonderful! Your painty style compliments your drawing style a bit more in my opinion, but what do I know haha (': I would love to buy a print from you someday! ♥
